Like the original Covent Garden storefront, the new shop is staffed by knowledgable skateboarders, but has also expanded to include a more diverse range of in-store exclusives as the likes of Patagonia outerwear and Clarks Originals footwear are featured alongside traditional skate garb. Furthermore, the Toby Shuall-designed space includes a showroom and design space downstairs for surging young label Palace Skateboards. Slam City Skates 2013 Spring/Summer Lookbook

London’s Slam City Skates presents its Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook. Shot by Sam Ashley and utilizing Slam staff members Paddy Jones and Sam Hughes, the range is a testament to the brand’s diversity, showcasing products ranging from embroidered sweatshirts to tees, in addition to caps and their collaborative footwear with Converse. As part of the second installment from Tokyo-based designers flaph and London’s Slam City Skates, a new pack containing three pieces has been unveiled. The pack consists of a button shirt, available in two colors with red, white and blue elastic cuffs, a Champion hoodie in three colorways, and finally a Champion long sleeve crew neck in the option of three colors. Available now at BEAUTY & YOUTH UNITED ARROWS in Shibuya or Nagoya and other select flaph stockists, the apparel will retail between ¥9,450 JPY to ¥24,150 JPY  respectively (approximately $120 USD to $310 USD).

Silas x Slam City Skates x Vans Era Camo

Thus summer will see a new three-way collaboration land at London’s Slam City Skates. Produced in conjunction with Silas and classic California skateboarding footwear company Vans, the collab comes in the form of the Vans Era with the kicks donning an upper of camouflage canvas and black suede. Unique details can be found throughout including red and white eyelets, a red leather heel tab and both Silas and Slam City Skates branding. Look for the kicks to debut sometime in July in limited quantities for ¥10,290 JPY (approximately $128 USD).
